Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive direct patient care to residents under supervision, in collaboration with the licensed nursing team.
- Administer medications and treatments as allowed by state and facility policy; document and monitor responses.
- Monitor vital signs, assess changes in condition, and communicate findings promptly to the supervising nurse.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including mobility, hygiene, alimentation, and comfort measures.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record; ensure accuracy and timely timely charting and care planning updates.
- Uphold infection prevention, safety protocols, and patient safety standards; respond to call lights and emergencies per training.
Requirements
- Ability to work in a long-term care setting and adhere to facility policies and regulatory requirements.
- Willingness to work a 3x12-hour shift schedule.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.
- Basic computer literacy and experience with electronic health records or similar documentation systems.
- Commitment to maintaining professional standards of care and patient dignity in a fast-paced environment.
