Registered Nurse - ICU travel assignment in Bakersfield, CA, beginning 08/03/2026 for 8 weeks. Earn between $2,322 and $2,408 per week with 36 guaranteed hours per week. Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated ICU nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Monitor patient status, administer medications, and operate or supervise critical care equipment as appropriate.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines using critical thinking and professional judgment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient care and timely escalation of changes in patient condition.
- Document all nursing care and patient responses in the electronic medical record; maintain accurate records and confidentiality.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding treatment plans, and participate in discharge planning and transitions of care.
Requirements
- Current, unrestricted RN license to practice in the United States
- ICU/critical care nursing experience preferred
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in a hospital setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; capable of independent clinical judgment
