Responsibilities
- Coordinate and perform all CT scanning procedures, setting up and monitoring CT equipment per patient protocol.
- Transfer and position patients using safe handling and lifting techniques; apply immobilization devices as needed.
- Verify patient identification and obtain relevant medical history and allergies.
- Prepare and administer contrast media intravenously when required, following radiologist-approved protocols.
- Acquire, develop, and store CT images; ensure proper documentation and archiving for each study.
- Conduct daily equipment calibration and quality control to maintain image quality; follow department and MRMC imaging protocols.
- Manage electronic/digital image capture, transfer, and copy; monitor and respond to patient reactions to contrast.
- Assist radiologists with specialized radiological procedures and review pertinent history to support diagnosis.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions; provide basic life support and initiate emergency actions as needed.
- Maintain a clean work environment and ensure department supplies are stocked; participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements
- CT experience: 2+ years in CT imaging (required)
- Equipment: Experience with Philips CT systems (required)
- Certifications: ARRT certification (Radiology) and BLS (required)
- Travel experience: Preferred
- Licensure: Active Michigan radiologic technologist license or eligibility; ability to meet state licensure verification requirements
- Availability: Ability to work a nights schedule (3x12-hour shifts)
- Education: Standard radiologic technology training (as applicable to ARRT eligibility)
