SMH Level 4 RN Cardiac OR - Circulate ONLY | Travel Registered Nurse, Cardiac Operating Room | Rochester, NY, United States | Start 04/13/2026 | 13 weeks | $2,359-$2,404 per week | Guaranteed hours: none | Shift: 12-hour days (7a-7p) | Perioperative cardiac surgical services. The Adult Cardiac OR handles a wide spectrum of cases, including CABGs, TAVIs, and advanced heart failure services (VADs, ECMO, artificial heart, and transplants). The RN circulator role requires independent circulator duties for complex adult cardiac procedures and, when needed, scrubbing. Heart transplant experience is preferred.

Responsibilities
- Function as the circulating RN for complex adult cardiac cases, including CABG, structural heart procedures, and transplant-related surgeries
- Scrub for selected cases when needed; maintain sterile technique and instrument counts
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and the perioperative team to ensure patient safety and procedural efficiency
- Monitor intraoperative hemodynamics and manage equipment, implants, and devices as required
- Document intraoperative events, maintain accurate records, and facilitate safe handoffs to the postoperative team
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in New York
- BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 2 years operating room experience; Level 1 trauma OR experience highly desirable
- Ability to independently function as RN circulator and scrub, with strong communication and teamwork
- Experience with adult cardiac surgical cases (CABG, structural heart, VADs/ECMO/Transplant); heart transplant experience preferred
- Education: graduation from an approved nursing program; current NY RN license
- Ability to work 7a-7p in a high-acuity OR environment
