Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to medical-surgical patients across assigned units
- Float to all med-surg areas as needed within the pool
- Assess patients, monitor status, document findings, and respond to changes in condition
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders following hospital protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other disciplines to coordinate care
- Maintain accurate charting in EPIC and ensure compliance with clinical documentation standards
- Uphold patient safety, infection prevention, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Active registered nurse license with Nursys license verification
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum of 2 years of Med Surg RN experience
- EPIC EMR experience or demonstrated proficiency; EPIC knowledge is required
- Ability to float to all med-surg areas as needed
- No gaps in work history greater than 60 days (per profile/profile documentation requirements)
