Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
Registered Nurse – Med/Surg travel assignment in Templeton, California. Start date: 08/03/2026 for a 13-week assignment. Weekly pay range: $1,988-$2,048 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 3x12 nights (7:00 PM–7:30 AM). Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital medical/surgical unit.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients on the Med/Surg unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the care plan.
- Administer medications, manage intravenous therapy (including blood products), and monitor patient responses.
- Monitor vital signs, respond to changes in patient condition, and perform routine skills such as indwelling catheter and drains care, sterile technique, and use of common medical equipment.
- Deliver age-appropriate care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients; address psychosocial needs and educate patients and families regarding care plans.
- Collaborate with the health care team to develop multidisciplinary, goal-oriented care plans; delegate tasks to ancillary staff within scope of practice; participate in rounds and care transitions.
- Maintain documentation and ensure patient safety, including assessment of vascular patency and postoperative wound care when applicable.
Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of practice (California)
- Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor
- Minimum of two years of recent RN experience; Med/Surg experience preferred
- Ability to work night shift on a Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting
