Responsibilities
- Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health care team
- Provide explanations and instructions to patients and responsible persons
- Demonstrate nursing clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition
- Contribute to a healthy workplace environment through professional communication and conflict management
- Maintain complete and accurate medical records; participate in continuing education; meet Core Measure responsibilities related to patient care
Requirements
- Current Illinois Registered Nurse license
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- Unit-specific certifications may be required for assignment (examples listed in the job notes include Intensive Care Unit, Progressive Care Unit, Cardiac Services, Cardiac Catherization, Interventional Imaging, Electrology/EP, Birthing Center, Neonatal and other specialties)
- Ability to work in a hospital setting and participate in a 13-week travel assignment
- Eligibility to fulfill assignment requirements starting on the specified start date
