Travel Licensed Practical Nurse Long-Term Care Job
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Long-Term Care in Aberdeen, SD. This travel assignment is a 13-week contract starting 04/27/2026, with weekly pay in the range of $1,390 to $1,424. Shift is nights on a 12-hour schedule (6:00 pm–6:30 am) in an LTC-assisted living setting. Position through Healthforce Healthcare LLC. This assignment offers a 36-hour guaranteed weekly commitment as part of the contract, with travel and clinical support provided by a dedicated recruiter.

Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered; document with accuracy in the chart and on the care plan.
- Monitor residents’ health status through regular vital signs, assessments, and observation; report changes promptly to the supervising RN.
- Provide wound care, dressing changes, and routine procedures within scope of practice; manage incontinence care as directed.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) and mobility to support independence and safety.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment; adhere to infection control practices and safe medication administration standards.
- Complete timely shift handoffs, collaborate with the care team, and participate in care planning for ongoing patient needs.
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse license in South Dakota
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Education: LPN diploma from an accredited program
- Experience: previous long-term care or skilled nursing setting experience preferred
- Ability to work a nights schedule and perform 12-hour shifts in a LTC/assisted living setting
