Responsibilities
- Implement prescribed PTA interventions under licensed PT supervision, including therapeutic exercises, gait training, ROM, and mobility facilitation
- Support patient mobility and functional independence through targeted activities and ADL training
- Assist with patient assessments, document progress, and communicate changes to the supervising PT
- Maintain accurate charting and timely documentation, ensuring regulatory and facility standards are met
- Promote patient safety and proper body mechanics, with adherence to infection control and safety protocols
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to adjust plans of care and address patient needs
Requirements
- Active California Physical Therapy Assistant license (or eligible for licensure)
- Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited program
- Ability to work in a long-term care setting and participate in a travel assignment
- Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
- Availability to begin on 11/09/2026 for a 13-week assignment and commit to 35 hours per week
