Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for an individual patient or assigned group, following established standards and the nursing process
- Collect pertinent data, analyze findings, and identify care needs and outcomes
- Develop, implement, and adjust a patient care plan; coordinate delivery with other disciplines
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff across multiple levels; delegate tasks appropriately
- Facilitate discharge planning and patient/family education; ensure a safe, healing environment
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- BLS certification; ACLS and PALS required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- CPI or TEAM/TEAM-A or equivalent aggression management training required
- Minimum of two years of recent ER experience in acute care
- BSN preferred; ADN considered with relevant ER experience
- EPIC and Cerner experience required for this assignment
