Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive OT evaluations and establish individualized treatment plans for residents in a skilled nursing setting.
- Implement evidence-based interventions to improve activities of daily living, mobility, fine motor skills, and cognitive engagement.
- Conduct regular progress assessments, adjust treatment plans, and document outcomes in the patient record.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (nursing, PT, speech therapy, physicians, social work) to optimize outcomes and discharge planning.
- Educate residents and families on home exercise programs, safety strategies, and activity participation to support rehabilitation goals.
- Maintain compliance with professional standards, facility policies, and regulatory requirements, ensuring patient safety and quality of care.
Requirements
- Ability to work in a skilled nursing facility environment with a focus on geriatric rehabilitation
- Strong assessment, planning, documentation, and communication skills
- Willingness to float to cover multiple units or areas within the assignment as needed
- Eligibility to work in the United States for a travel assignment
