Registered Nurse – Stepdown, travel assignment in Lawton, OK. Start 07/27/2026 for 13 weeks. Earn $1,930-$2,018 per week with 0 guaranteed hours. Shift: 3x12 Nights. Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care for step-down cardiology patients, including STEMI/NSTEMI evaluation, CP rule-out, CHF management, and post-cardiothoracic surgery after ICU, with noninvasive ventilation as needed.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, administer IV antiarrhythmic medications, manage telemetry, and respond to arrhythmia events per physician orders.
- Oversee hemodynamic stability, manage invasive lines as appropriate, and collaborate with the cardiology and critical care teams on patient care plans.
- Float to Medical-Surgical or Emergency Department settings to cover CVCU/Med/Surg holds as required.
- Ensure accurate documentation, timely assessments, care plans, and patient education while maintaining safety and infection control standards.
- Support multidisciplinary care coordination, discharge planning, and family communication as part of comprehensive unit care.
Requirements
- Oklahoma Registered Nurse license (active)
- ACLS and NIHSS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of Step-Down/SDU experience
- Ability to float to Med/Surg or ER to support CVCU/Med/Surg holds
- Flexibility with scheduling; no block scheduling required
- Availability to work 3x12 Night shifts; include weekend rotations (6 weekends per 6 weeks)
