Registered Nurse - Med Surg travel assignment in Amsterdam, NY. Start date 06/01/2026 for 13 weeks. Pay range $1,735 per week – $1,897 per week. Shift: 3x12-hour Nights. Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital (Med Surg). This is a travel - temporary assignment.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to Med Surg patients, including ongoing assessment, monitoring, and response to changes in condition
- Administer medications and IV therapies per physician orders, with adherence to safety and infection control protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, case managers, and allied health staff to coordinate comprehensive patient care plans
- Document accurately and timely in the electronic health record, including vitals, assessments, interventions, and patient responses
- Assist with discharge planning, patient and family education, and coordination of post-acute care needs
Requirements
- Active New York State Registered Nurse license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Minimum 2 years Med Surg experience
- At least 1 year of travel nursing experience
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (3x12) and adapt to scheduling variability; block scheduling not guaranteed
- Must meet facility and regulatory requirements for Med Surg nursing practice
