Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
ER RN (Emergency Department) – Travel assignment in Rochester, New York. Start date 08/10/2026 for a duration measured in weeks. Weekly pay range of $1,871 to $2,045 per week. Shift is 3x12 nights. Employment type: Travel – Temporary Assignment. Setting: hospital-based ER serving mixed adult and pediatric patients. NYRN license must be in hand to submit. This ER position requires a minimum of 1 year of RN experience, with first-timers accepted, and features a typical patient ratio around 1:5 with mixed acuity. Epic is the charting system used for documentation.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume ED for both adult and pediatric patients
- Triage, rapid assessment, and prioritization of care; respond to emergencies and support rapid decision-making
- Administer emergency medications and manage IV access; perform phlebotomy and IV starts
- Monitor and interpret clinical data, dysrhythmias, and patient responses; execute procedures as needed
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams (IV/RT/PT/Pharmacy/Radiology/Social Work/Transport) and document in Epic
- Support patient and family education, discharge planning, and safe handoffs to appropriate services
Requirements
- Active New York RN license in hand to submit
- Minimum 1 year RN experience; previous ER/acute care experience preferred
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS required
- Must be able to travel to the assignment; locals within 75 miles are not accepted
- Ability to work in a fast-paced mixed adult/pediatric ED; unit requires phlebotomy and IV skills
- Epic charting experience preferred
