Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to an individual patient or assigned group using the nursing process.
- Collect pertinent data, assess patient status, and identify care needs.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate a care plan; adjust interventions as needed.
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members; supervise and direct the activities of nursing staff at various levels.
- Administer medications and treatments per hospital policy; monitor for adverse effects and respond to changes.
- Facilitate patient and family education, discharge planning, and safe transition of care.
Requirements
- Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (California) required.
- Experience: At least two years of recent nursing experience in the field.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; CPR certification from an approved vendor may be accepted per policy.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Skills: Ability to work in a high-acuity ER/acute care setting; strong critical thinking and clinical judgment; effective communication and teamwork.
- Eligibility: Willingness to work a 3x12-hour day shift schedule; travel assignment readiness.
