Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines using critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.
- Assess patient conditions, implement and adjust care plans, monitor progress and safety; document care provided and maintain accurate patient records.
- Communicate effectively with the care team, patients, and families to ensure continuity of care and adherence to plan of care.
- Note from Job Notes: Float Pool considerations may apply; this department includes education and non-productive hours for Float Pool nurses, and Float Pool nurses working a unit should clock in to the unit being worked.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California (CA) or eligibility to practice in the state
- ER nursing experience preferred; strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and participate in a travel assignment
- Comfort providing care in a home healthcare - hospice setting
- Excellent collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and adherence to nursing standards of care
