Travel Registered Dietician (Clinical) Job
Registered Dietitian (Clinical) travel assignment in Malone, New York. Start date: July 6, 2026. Assignment duration: about 13 weeks, with potential extension toward 16 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,084–$2,194 per week. Shift: 8-hour day shifts, 5 days per week (typical 8-hour schedule); may have coverage windows around 6:00 AM–2:30 PM or 7:00 AM–3:30 PM. Setting: long-term care facility with occasional need to support hospital services for vacation coverage.

Responsibilities
- Provide clinical nutrition assessment, diagnosis, care planning, and ongoing monitoring for residents in the long-term care setting; support hospital patients as needed
- Develop and implement medical nutrition therapy plans, adjust dietary prescriptions, and educate patients and staff on therapeutic diets
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and foodservice teams to coordinate care and ensure accurate implementation of nutrition plans
- Maintain documentation in patient records and communicate changes to the care team; participate in care conferences as appropriate
- Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, New York State Department of Health, CMS, and other applicable regulatory standards
- Act as a liaison between providers, nurses, and foodservice staff to support nutrition care and dietary service operations
- May float to an affiliated medical center for vacation coverage as needed to support coverage
Requirements
- Current Registered Dietitian (RD) license in the state of New York
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Master’s degree preferred (Dietetics or related field); active RD credential required
- Bilingual or strong communication skills are helpful; ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
- Experience in clinical nutrition care; hospital and/or long-term care experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work in a long-term care and hospital setting and to adapt to rotating coverage as needed
- Travel-friendly mindset and flexibility to cover assignments across settings
