Travel Registered Nurse L&D Job
Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery and Recovery (LDRN) in Gunnison, Colorado. Start date: 06/29/2026. Travel assignment for approximately 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,526–$2,637 per week. Guaranteed hours: none. Shift: rotating 12-hour day and night shifts. Setting: a long-term care and assisted living environment requiring L&D coverage. This assignment includes a mix of day and night shifts (7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.) as part of a rotating schedule.

Responsibilities
- Provide labor, delivery, and recovery nursing care to expectant mothers, including vital signs monitoring, fetal heart rate assessment, and participation in childbirth and postpartum care.
- Support lactation education, newborn care basics, and emotional support for patients and families.
- Administer medications, assist with obstetric procedures, and coordinate care with the obstetric and nursing teams.
- Monitor, document, and communicate patient status; implement care plans and discharge planning in collaboration with the care team.
- Maintain infection control practices, patient safety, and adherence to facility policies across shifts.
- Contribute to patient education and care coordination during day and night rotations.
Requirements
- Licensure, certifications, and education requirements are defined in the Job Notes and must be reviewed prior to applying.
- Ability to work a rotating 12-hour day/night schedule (7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.).
- Colorado CAPS background check required.
- Reliable transportation required due to rural Gunnison area without public transit.
- Willingness to participate in a 13-week travel assignment starting 06/29/2026.
- Experience in labor, delivery, and recovery settings is preferred and may be noted in the Job Notes.
