This travel temporary assignment places you in a correctional setting, providing professional nursing care with adherence to facility policies and security procedures. Personal devices such as smart watches and cell phones are restricted inside the secure perimeter; approved contact with loved ones is managed via the work station phone. The role requires working every other weekend and maintaining clinical standards in a structured environment.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to individuals within a correctional setting, following professional standards and facility policies
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, perform basic procedures, and document care in the electronic health record
- Assess patient status, develop care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes in collaboration with the health care team
- Respond to medical emergencies, manage acute events, and follow safety and security protocols for staff and inmates
- Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, custody staff, and patients while maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries
- Comply with facility restrictions on personal devices and adhere to all security and safety requirements
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse license (current, in good standing)
- Graduation from an approved practical nursing program
- Ability to work nights and rotate to every other weekend schedule
- Experience in nursing care; corrections/secure setting experience preferred
- Strong documentation skills and competency with electronic health records
- Ability to work effectively in a secure, structured environment and follow facility policies
