Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Tele Job
Registered Nurse – Med Surg Tele in a telemetry-capable inpatient unit. This travel temporary assignment is based in Lima, Ohio. Start date: July 28, 2026. Assignment duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,761 to $1,911 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM (12-hour nights), 3x12 schedule. This is a travel nursing role through Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for adult patients on Med Surg Tele during the assigned shift
- Monitor telemetry, assess rhythm changes, and intervene promptly; administer and titrate cardiac medications per orders (including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Heparin, Cardene/Cardine, Dobutamine, Lasix, Bumex) with appropriate documentation
- Collaborate with LPN/PCT and Unit Secretaries; provide patient and family education; assist in directing and teaching non-RN staff on the unit
- Document in the electronic medical record, ensure accuracy and compliance with policies, and advocate for patient safety and quality care
- Demonstrate critical thinking to identify changes in patient status, initiate appropriate interventions, and escalate as required
- Demonstrate knowledge of stroke signs/symptoms and respond per protocol; maintain a safe, efficient, and compassionate environment
Requirements
- Active Ohio Registered Nurse license or CompactRN license with Nursys verification
- 2+ years of Med Surg Telemetry experience
- Telemetry competency with knowledge of heart rhythms
- Proficiency with cardiac medications listed in job requirements and the ability to titrate
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification
- Active American Heart Association ACLS certification
- Ability to work the night shift (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) and perform in a fast-paced inpatient setting
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the care team
