Occupational Therapist — travel assignment in Hermiston, Oregon. Start date: 04/20/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Guaranteed hours: 40 per week. Shift: 5x8 days. Weekly pay: $2,094–$2,210. Responsibilities
- Evaluate the patient’s functional status and interpret the physician’s plan of care to develop, administer, and implement therapeutic services aimed at regaining independence in self-care, leisure, and work activities.
- Complete initial assessments and periodic reassessments, making clinical decisions based on objective tests and measurements.
- Communicate observations and treatment recommendations as part of an interdisciplinary team; participate in team meetings to coordinate the plan of care.
- Provide education and direction to patients and coworkers as appropriate; work both independently and within the team; protect patient rights.
- Document accurately and concisely all communications, coordination, and treatment activities; adapt to emergency situations and monitor changes in the patient’s condition.
- Participate in required education related to applicable programs and maintain compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Licensure: Licensed by the State of Oregon as an Occupational Therapist.
- Education: Graduate of an OT curriculum accredited jointly by the AMA/AAOTA; eligible for the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association (NBCOT).
- Certifications: Current BLS certification; valid driver’s license; proof of auto insurance.
- Experience/knowledge: Current knowledge of OT as it relates to physical disability and rehabilitation procedures, medicine and surgery procedures, mental health concepts; experience with elderly populations, long-term care, home health and hospice environments.
- Additional: CRASE training may be required if the travel assignment extends beyond a 6-month period.
