Responsibilities
- Operate x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated body areas as ordered by physicians
- Position patients and provide clear explanations of procedures; adjust exposure factors (voltage, current, exposure time) for each exam
- Prepare examination rooms and equipment; maintain infection control and safety standards
- Monitor patients during imaging, ensuring comfort and safety throughout procedures
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images and document exam information for interpretation
- Verify exams in the PACS system and communicate important findings to the physician as appropriate
- Maintain accurate records and assist with routine equipment quality checks and housekeeping tasks as needed
Requirements
- ARRT—Radiography (R) certification required
- Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) Radiologic Technologist License required in OR
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required
- Minimum of two years of recent radiologic technology experience
- Education: Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology (preferred)
- Current nursing license per the state of assignment (per job notes)
- Vaccination requirements in accordance with organizational policy; exemptions may apply
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital setting as a travel assignment
