Travel Registered Nurse OR Job
Registered Nurse – Cardiac Operating Room, located in Rochester, NY. This is a travel, temporary assignment beginning 06/08/2026 for 13 weeks, with a 12-hour day shift (7a–7p). Weekly pay ranges from $2,348 to $2,420. The role takes place in a cardiac OR environment, performing complex adult cardiac cases. Requires NY RN licensure, BLS and ACLS, and OR experience with circulator responsibilities; heart-team collaboration and advanced perioperative care are essential.

Responsibilities
- Function as the RN circulator for complex adult cardiac cases (e.g., CABG, TAVR, structural heart procedures) and collaborate with the surgical team, anesthesia, and perfusionists.
- Maintain the sterile field, assist with scrubbing as needed, and ensure all equipment and supplies are ready for use during procedures.
- Monitor patient status intraoperatively, advocate for patient safety, and document perioperative events accurately.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary team members to support timely case flow and patient care, including equipment troubleshooting and instrument handling.
- Assist with patient positioning, anesthesia induction, and retrieval of specimens as required.
- Ensure compliance with standards for infection control, safety, and regulatory requirements throughout the intraoperative sequence.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in New York
- BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
- Minimum of 2 years operating room experience; level 1 trauma OR experience highly desired
- Ability to scrub and circulate; capable of functioning in a high-acuity cardiac OR
- Experience with complex adult cardiac procedures (CABG, TAVR, heart failure support) preferred
