Diagnostic Imaging Manager — Radiology Tech | San Luis Obispo, California, US
Start date: 04/13/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment. Weekly pay range: $3,161–$3,422. Guaranteed hours: not guaranteed. Shift: Day shift, Mon–Fri, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. (5x8s). Setting: short-term acute care hospital.

Responsibilities
- Lead the diagnostic imaging department’s daily operations, including patient services, personnel, scheduling, finances, and equipment management.
- Ensure timely processing of exams, prioritizing emergent cases while minimizing patient wait times and optimizing turn-around.
- Oversee RIS and PACS systems, maintaining image and data integrity in compliance with HIPAA and privacy guidelines.
- Supervise imaging staff, including recruitment, orientation, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations; ensure appropriate staffing to meet productivity targets.
- Conduct regular staff meetings, manage departmental committees and projects, and drive quality improvement initiatives.
- Manage quality assurance processes, evaluate new technologies and imaging protocols, and support strategic resource planning, budgets, and capital expenditures.

Requirements
- Certification/licensure: Current ARRT credential (Radiography, CT, MRI, or Mammography) OR ARDMS or NMTCB certification; fluoroscopy experience required.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Five years of registered technologist experience preferred; one year of leadership/management experience preferred.
- Regulatory: Demonstrated experience with CA regulations; familiarity with Joint Commission (TJC) and CMS expectations.
- Additional: Ability to lead and coordinate a 24/7 department in a hospital environment; strong communication, supervision, and project-management skills.
