Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the diagnostic imaging department’s daily operations, including patient services, staffing, scheduling, finances, and equipment.
- Ensure timely processing of imaging procedures, prioritizing emergent cases and minimizing patient wait times.
- Monitor theRIS and PACS systems, safeguarding image integrity and patient data in compliance with HIPAA.
- Supervise radiology personnel, including hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations; maintain appropriate staffing levels.
- Support quality assurance and participate in performance improvement efforts; ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, and CA regulations.
- Contribute to strategic planning, budgeting for salary, operations, and capital needs; assess new technologies to improve productivity.

Requirements
- Certification: ARRT or ARDMS/NMTCB credentials as applicable (ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, ARRT-MRI, ARRT-M, ARDMS, or NMTCB); fluoroscopy experience required; CRT also indicated.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent combination of education/experience required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Five years of registered technologist experience preferred; one year of leadership/management experience preferred; prior management experience with California regulations required.
- Licensure/Regulatory: California regulatory experience and compliance knowledge stated; ability to operate within a 24/7 imaging department.
- Additional: Demonstrated ability to supervise and develop staff, coordinate complex workflows, and maintain high standards of image quality and patient data safety.
