Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients, including those with active co-morbid psychiatric and/or behavioral issues
- Monitor patient status, administer medications, manage IVs, and operate telemetry as indicated
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans; reassess and adjust plans as needed
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record; ensure patient safety and comfort
- Assist with discharge planning, patient and family education, and coordination of post-acute needs
Requirements
- Active New York RN license required (New York license only)
- Minimum 2 years of med-surg RN experience
- Psychology experience required
- Telemetry experience required
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Education: Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program
- Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and unit charge duties as assigned
