Respiratory Therapist (Registered Respiratory Therapist) needed for inpatient pediatric and NICU III care in Burlington, Vermont. This travel, temporary assignment starts May 11, 2026 for 16 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $2,701 to $2,770. Shift pattern is 3x12 Days in a hospital setting. This role requires current RRT credentialing, with no CRT accepted, and offers no guaranteed hours.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive respiratory care to pediatric inpatients and NICU III patients per medical orders and established protocols.
- Assess, monitor, and adjust therapies including oxygen delivery, airway clearance, aerosol treatments, humidification, NIV/ventilation support, and suctioning.
- Perform routine and specialized procedures (e.g., endotracheal suctioning, tracheostomy care, ventilator management) and document patient responses in the EMR.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, participate in rounds, and contribute to care planning and safety initiatives.
- Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment, ensure alarms are set appropriately, and manage supply inventory.
- Ensure accurate Epic documentation for all patient encounters and therapies; contribute to quality and safety initiatives.
Requirements
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist license (CRT not accepted)
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP required; NRP required upon submission
- NBRC verification
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience
- Teaching hospital experience required
- NICU III and pediatric inpatient experience required; prior travel experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years (nonnegotiable)
- NICU levels documented in work history; all prior employment entries must include complete work history details (bed count, EMR, facility type, etc.)
- No block scheduling; ability to work the listed shifts in a hospital setting
