Responsibilities
- Perform specialized mammography examinations using dedicated equipment to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Position patients and adjust equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic breast images while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols, verify image quality, and document results; communicate findings as appropriate.
- Operate and maintain mammography equipment, including QC checks and timely reporting of equipment issues.
- Collaborate with radiology team and physicians; provide clear, accurate information and assist with patient education.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all procedures are performed in accordance with department standards.
Requirements
- Active radiologic technologist license for the state of Oregon or eligibility to obtain
- Ability to perform mammography procedures and operate mammography equipment
- Prior clinical imaging experience; mammography experience preferred
- Strong patient care and communication skills; commitment to safety and quality
- Ability to work in a hospital setting; 40-hour daytime schedule
- Willingness to participate in travel assignment as required
