Travel Registered Nurse ICU Job
Registered Nurse – ICU (Neuro ICU/IMCU), Atlanta, GA, United States. This travel temporary assignment begins 08/17/2026 for 13 weeks in a hospital setting. Weekly pay ranges from $1,914 to $2,065 per week, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Shift pattern is Day, 12-hour shifts on a 12x3 schedule. The unit spans ICU and stepdown/IMCU with float between the two common. Candidates should have strong neuro experience and be able to manage a dynamic neuro-critical care environment. Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adult neuro ICU and IMCU patients, including neuro-critical conditions, stroke, and post-operative neuro patients.
- Perform frequent neuro assessments, monitor neurologic status, respond to changes, and implement prescribed neuro protocols.
- Manage hemodynamic monitoring, airway and ventilator support as needed, medication administration, and infusion therapies per orders.
- Collaborate with physicians, neuro specialty teams, respiratory therapy, and rehabilitation services to coordinate patient care and safe transitions between ICU and stepdown units.
- Document care activities accurately in the electronic medical record, maintain infection control practices, and participate in patient safety initiatives.
- Support patient and family education, prepare for transports and activity progression, and participate in code response as needed.
Requirements
- Active RN license with Nursys license verification (GA or eligible for Georgia licensure)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Neuro ICU or IMCU (neuro-focused clinical experience strongly preferred)
- Current Certification Card on file (e.g., basic life support; other applicable certifications as required)
- Ability to work in ICU and IMCU settings with float between units; strong critical thinking and prioritization skills
- Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork abilities
- Education: Graduate of an approved nursing program
