Travel Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Long-Term Care | Any Shifts
Pay: $1,228.00 / week
Location: Dubuque, IA
Schedule: Full-Time | Travel Contract | Day, Eve & Night Shifts
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Travel Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a long-term care opportunity in Dubuque, IA. In this role, you will deliver hands-on, resident-centered care, monitor vital signs, and support daily living activities in a collaborative skilled nursing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility/transfers.
Accurately measure, document, and report vital signs, daily intake/output, and subtle changes in resident condition into the facility EMR system.
Collaborate closely with RNs, LPNs, and interdisciplinary care teams to follow individualized care plans.
Support medication administration under direct nursing supervision in full accordance with facility policies and state regulations.
Assist with routine prep for resident therapies, activities, and daily schedules.
Maintain a clean, safe, safe-transfer-compliant, and infection-controlled environment.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED; completion of a state-approved CNA program with competency evaluation.
Licensure: Active Iowa CNA certification (or compact/eligible equivalent) in good standing.
Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification (AHA standard preferred).
Experience: Proven experience in a Long-Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting; prior travel experience preferred.
Skills: Strong communication, observational skills, proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), and adaptability across various shift needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with fall prevention initiatives or specialized wound care monitoring.
- Thorough working knowledge of standard infection control protocols.
- Bilingual capability (Spanish or other languages).
