Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations for adults in an outpatient rehabilitation context.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans addressing communication and swallowing disorders.
- Provide evidence-based therapy techniques and document progress notes and treatment outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (e.g., physicians, nurses, OT/PT) to coordinate patient care.
- Ensure accurate documentation and coding in alignment with Medicare, Medicaid, and other regulatory requirements.
- Educate patients and families on therapy goals, exercises, and safety considerations; participate in discharge planning when appropriate.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Georgia Speech-Language Pathologist license
- CCC-SLP certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
- AHA BLS certification
- Minimum 15–18 months of recent experience within the specialty
- Prior experience working with adults in a medical setting is preferred but not required
- Ability to work in an outpatient rehabilitation environment
