Responsibilities
- Set up imaging equipment and position patients for procedures to obtain quality diagnostic studies.
- Perform a wide variety of diagnostic radiologic exams according to department procedures.
- Exercise independent judgment and initiative in the use of imaging equipment for diagnosis and/or treatment.
- Ensure safety and accuracy of examinations, adapting techniques as needed for patient age and condition.
- Work with students during clinical rotations, providing guidance as appropriate.
- Maintain equipment readiness, safety protocols, and accurate documentation for each study.
Requirements
- Flexibility with work hours to meet department needs and patient care demands.
- Dependable, accountable, cooperative, and able to work independently.
- Knowledge and ability to obtain high-quality diagnostic studies and to set up and position patients for imaging procedures.
- Comfortable working in a hospital imaging department and assisting with clinical rotations when required.
