Registered Nurse - Hospice (Travel) | Plymouth, Massachusetts, United States | Start July 13, 2026 | 13 weeks | $2,215–$2,294 per week | 72 hours guaranteed biweekly (not including on-call) | 5x8 days (Mon–Fri, 8-hour daytime shifts) | Hospice care in outpatient/home settings with travel between patient homes and care sites.
This travel assignment focuses on skilled hospice nursing in outpatient and home-based settings. You’ll deliver direct patient care aligned with the established hospice plan of care, participate in symptom management and comfort-focused interventions, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support patients and families. Expect to travel between patient locations, with typical daily mileage in the 30–50 mile range. On-call time is not included in guaranteed hours.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive hospice nursing care to patients in outpatient and home settings, typically completing 4–5 visits per day.
- Assess patient conditions, manage symptoms, administer medications, and perform wound care and routine treatments as prescribed.
- Develop and adjust care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team; document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in the medical record.
- Educate patients and families on disease trajectory, symptom management, medication administration, and safety within the home environment.
- Travel between patient locations within a 30–50 mile radius daily; plan efficient routes to maximize quality of care and minimize disruption.
- Ensure compliance with clinical policies, infection control, HIPAA privacy standards, and safety protocols; communicate changes to supervising clinicians as needed.
Requirements
- Active RN license in Massachusetts; MA license required at time of submission
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Hospice nursing experience required
- Ability to travel 30–50 miles per day; non-local travelers only (reside more than 50 miles from the assignment location)
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in outpatient/home hospice settings and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team
