Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) travel assignment in a rural, critical access care setting. Location: Arizona, United States. Start date October 12, 2026. Duration 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,780–$1,876 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., alternating 3/12-hour day shifts. This is a travel - temporary assignment with ED and inpatient coverage.

Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy for patients in ED and inpatient units, including assessment, treatment, and ongoing monitoring.
- Operate and manage respiratory equipment (including ventilation support) and administer therapies such as bronchodilators, oxygen, suctioning, and airway clearance.
- Administer and adjust therapies per physician orders; monitor patient response and document changes.
- Document care and procedures in the electronic charting system (Medhost) according to facility guidelines.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the care team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Respond to clinical alarms and changes in patient status; participate in safety protocols and quality improvement activities.
- Maintain compliance with licensure, certifications, and department policies; ensure competency in required protocols.
Requirements
- Licenses and certifications: Arizona State license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NBRC credential; active status required.
- Education: Graduate of a CoARC-accredited program or approved respiratory care program; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of respiratory care experience; recent practice in acute care settings is preferred.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS); ACLS and PALS required.
- Special requirements: CPI within 3 months of start date and NRP within 6 months; ability to cover both ED and inpatient care areas.
