Registered Nurse – Pediatric Cardiac Care Center, Rochester, New York. Start date May 18, 2026 for a 13-week travel assignment in a hospital setting. Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients with congenital or acquired cardiac conditions, in alignment with unit protocols
- Monitor patient status using telemetry and other vital signs, recognizing and responding to changes promptly
- Administer medications, manage IV therapies, and support hemodynamic stability under physician and care-team guidance
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapists, social workers, and families) to develop and adjust the patient care plan
- Perform thorough assessments, document findings, and contribute to timely updates of the plan of care
- Address clinical emergencies and participate in appropriate escalation as required
Requirements
- Active RN license in New York (NY RN License only)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, with pediatric cardiac care experience required
- Telemetry experience required
- Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS (American Heart Association); NIHSS
- Ability to work in a hospital setting and participate in 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
Education
