Travel Registered Nurse ICU Job
Registered Nurse – ICU in Fortuna, California. This travel assignment starts on 05/04/2026 for several weeks in an adult acute/critical care unit within a hospital setting. Weekly pay is $1,907–$1,994 with no guaranteed hours. Shift: 3x12 Nights. The unit serves adults and geriatrics in an acute care context; first-time travelers are accepted. COVID-19 vaccine not required for this assignment.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult and geriatric ICU patients, including those who are ventilated
- Ventilator management and respiratory support (HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP) and overall airway management
- Initiate and titrate vasoactive and cardiac medication drips; monitor hemodynamics
- Arterial line and central/PICC line care; interpret ABGs and dysrhythmias
- Administer blood products; establish and maintain IV access
- Chest tube assistance and suctioning; ETT/NT suctioning as needed; collaborate with interdisciplinary team
- Document patient care in Epic and participate in care coordination with PT, Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, and interpretation services
Requirements
- Graduation from an approved nursing program leading to RN licensure; active RN license in California preferred; pending license accepted; valid CA license in hand required prior to submission
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
- Minimum 1 year of ICU experience; travel experience not required
- Epic charting experience required
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years
- Ability to work in an adult acute/critical care setting; willingness to float within the hospital or to affiliate facilities as needed; call may be required for low census; weekend coverage as described
- Additional notes: COVID-19 vaccine not required per facility policy
