Travel Physical Therapist Job
Physical Therapist (PT) – Travel assignment in Kodiak, Alaska. Start date: June 15, 2026. Duration: Weeks (travel assignment). Weekly pay: $2,159–$2,291 per week. Guaranteed hours: 72 hours per 2 weeks. Shift: 5×8-hour days (days). Setting: Critical Access Hospital offering acute care, outpatient, and long-term care services. This is a temporary travel position.

Responsibilities
- Deliver physical therapy services to adults and geriatrics across inpatient, outpatient, and SNF settings; assess, plan, implement, and adjust interventions
- Perform gait training, transfers (including use of Hoyer lift), and mobility facilitation to promote independence
- Manage wound care, lymphedema, and pelvic floor therapy as appropriate; support orthopedics and post-op rehabilitation needs
- Educate patients and families; develop and update individualized home exercise programs; advise on assistive devices and safety strategies
- Document care in the Epic charting system; collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and discharge planning
- May see pediatric patients as needed by the department; participate in unit coverage and floating across outpatient, acute care, and SNF services
Requirements
- Active Alaska Physical Therapy license; BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience; pediatrics/adolescent experience preferred
- Ability to work across multiple settings (acute care, outpatient, SNF); weekends required; open to block scheduling and floating
- Proficiency with Epic charting; comfort with wound care, lymphedema management, and pelvic floor therapy a plus
- Two references (covering 1 year within the last 3 years) provided during compliance
- Vaccinations: Hepatitis B vaccine required; COVID-19 vaccination not required
- Compliance notes: submit SSN, DOB, and RTO with submission; locals not accepted (must live ≥50 miles from facility); RTO must be included at time of submission; must be willing to work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
