Travel Registered Nurse First Assist Job
Registered Nurse – First Assist (RNFA) travel assignment in Rochester, NY, starting 04/27/2026 for 13 weeks. Shift: 12-hour days. Weekly pay: $2,787–$2,889 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. This travel assignment is in a hospital setting focused on cardiac OR procedures. The RNFA will assist with chest exposure and closure, and may independently harvest veins for CABG procedures. DaVinci robotic case assistance is preferred but not required, with potential to scrub and circulate in complex cardiac cases as needed.

Responsibilities
- Assist with chest exposure and wound closure during cardiac procedures; independently harvest veins for CABG when required
- Provide scrub and circulating support for complex cardiac cases, including CABG, structural heart, minimally invasive procedures, and heart failure interventions
- Assist with DaVinci robotic cardiac cases when available and appropriate
- Perform telemetry-enabled perioperative care, ensuring patient safety and adherence to CNOR and AHA guidelines
- Collaborate with the surgical team, anesthesia, and perfusion staff; participate in on-call coverage as defined by the unit
Requirements
- New York State RN license (active)
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
- CNOR certification
- 2 years of cardiac RNFA experience
- Telemetry experience
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a travel assignment and participate in on-call as required
