OR Tech in Vail, CO — travel assignment starting 06/01/2026 for 13 weeks. Earn $1,615 to $1,696 per week with guaranteed 32 hours per week. Shift: Days with a 3x12 schedule. Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital. This role participates in perioperative patient care, supporting the surgical team under RN supervision and maintaining sterile technique throughout operative procedures.

Responsibilities
- Assist during surgical procedures by maintaining a sterile field and providing instrumentation as needed, under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
- Maintain and check all items for proper packaging, processing, moisture, seal and packaging integrity, sterile indicators, and expiration dates; clean and prepare instruments for terminal sterilization; ensure operating room safety and instrument readiness.
- Monitor sterile field for events that may contaminate or interfere; initiate corrective action and communicate with the perioperative team during time-out processes, briefings, and debriefings.
- Work toward competency or competency in Tier 1 surgical cases, expanding responsibilities as skills develop.
- Assist team with patient transports, room turnovers, and room preparation; support efficient perioperative workflow.
- Model professional behavior, maintain currency in new technologies and procedures, and uphold the principles of a Just Culture; collaborate effectively with the surgical team.
Requirements
- Colorado Licensed Surgical Technologist (Surgical Technologist license) required.
- Completion of a Certified Surgical Technologist program and/or licensure as a Surgical Technologist.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association.
- Ability to possess, or obtain within 90 days, the computer skills necessary to complete online learning requirements and documentation.
- Working knowledge of English (reading, writing, speaking).
- HIPAA compliance.
