Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned patient group according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Collect relevant data, analyze assessment findings, and identify care issues to inform a plan of care.
- Develop and implement a care plan, administer medications, and coordinate care with multidisciplinary team members.
- Supervise and direct activities of licensed and unlicensed staff as appropriate; delegate duties and monitor performance.
- Provide patient and family education, discharge planning, and ensure safe, caring, and evidence-based care delivery.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and treatment teams to promote health and safety in the clinical setting.
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in continual quality improvement and safety initiatives.

Requirements
- Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (or state of practice) required.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience in an acute care setting preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Other: Ability to work night shifts and function effectively in a high-acuity emergency department environment.
