Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER) travel assignment in Utica, NY. Start date August 10, 2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range $2,079 to $2,186 per week, with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift runs 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. in a hospital setting, with floating to other ED areas as needed. Block scheduling is not guaranteed. This assignment is in a 64-bed ED unit that handles a spectrum of emergent conditions and age groups.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to ED patients across pediatrics to geriatrics, including triage, initial assessment, monitoring, and ongoing care
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; monitor patient responses and escalate as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, APPs, and other ED staff to develop and implement care plans; assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Document thoroughly and accurately in the EPIC EMR; communicate patient status, plans, and family education clearly
- Respond to emergencies and participate in resuscitation efforts; perform rapid assessments for stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, and respiratory failure
- Maintain patient safety and comfort; support patient flow and appropriate disposition within the ED and related units
Requirements
- Active New York RN license; license verification required for NY and any additional RN licenses
- Minimum 2 years ED experience with some pediatric exposure; travel experience required
- Certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS; TNCC must be in hand
- EPIC EMR experience required
- RTO (time off) must be included at submission
- Valid driver’s license with address matching demographics (as applicable)
- Local candidates within ~75 miles may be considered at the local rate
