Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive physical therapy evaluation, treatment, and ongoing re-assessment for general outpatient rehab patients.
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care, document progress, and communicate with care teams; maintain accurate electronic health records.
- Deliver therapeutic interventions including therapeutic exercise, gait training, manual therapy, and functional restoration as appropriate to patient needs.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehabilitation professionals to ensure coordinated, quality patient care; educate patients and families on treatment plans and home programs.
- Manage a pelvic health caseload as assigned, requiring certification or equivalent experience; adapt interventions to post-op, spine, LE, and sports-rehabilitation contexts as indicated.
- Ensure patient safety and compliance with facility policies, and participate in holiday staffing requirements as needed.
Requirements
- Active Georgia Physical Therapist license
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited program in Physical Therapy
- Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience, preferably in outpatient/orthopedic settings
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Pelvic PT coverage requires Herman & Wallace Level 1 Pelvic Certification or APTA Pelvic Health Certification, or strong orthopedic PT background with post-op, spine, LE, and sports experience (no new graduates)
- Ability to work effectively in an outpatient rehabilitation setting within a hospital-based care team
