Responsibilities
- Prepare and scrub for interventional radiology procedures; maintain a sterile field and ensure equipment readiness
- Operate and troubleshoot Siemens imaging systems (Artis Icono, Artis Q, Artis Zee) to acquire fluoroscopic and radiographic guidance during procedures
- Assist interventional radiologists with vascular, neurovascular, and peripheral interventions; manage catheters and devices; document procedures and images
- Position patients, monitor vital signs, and manage contrast administration under physician guidance; apply radiation safety protocols and dose optimization
- Post-procedure care: monitor patients in recovery, assist with transport, and ensure room turnover per unit standards
- Maintain case accuracy: verify image labeling, archive cine runs, and support immediate documentation needs
Requirements
- ARRT Radiography certification and Kansas State Board of Healing Arts license (needed in hand for submittal)
- Minimum 2 years Interventional Radiology experience with scrub experience required
- 3 years IR experience in a large hospital setting preferred; peripheral and neurovascular experience desired
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume IR environment (60–65 cases/day)
- Eligibility to participate in a travel assignment in Kansas City, KS and perform duties in a hospital IR suite
