Travel Registered Nurse OR Job
Position: Registered Nurse, Operating Room (OR) – Travel. Location: Herrin, Illinois, United States. Start date: 09/21/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,555–$2,782 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: Days, 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week (0700–1730). Setting: Hospital operating room. This assignment requires OR circulating responsibilities for heavy ortho, urology, spine, and robotic procedures, with the ability to float to other facilities as needed and on-call coverage as scheduled.

Responsibilities
- Circulate in the OR for heavy orthopedics, urology, spine, and robotic procedures; maintain sterile technique, instrument counts, and room readiness
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the OR team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
- Monitor patient status intraoperatively, respond to changes, and document perioperative care accurately
- Prepare equipment, implants, and supplies; assist with positioning, draping, and specimen handling
- Support on-call and float assignments as needed; participate in ongoing professional development and adherence to core measures
Requirements
- Current Illinois Registered Nurse license
- Graduation from an accredited RN program
- Certifications: CPR/BLS; ACLS (as required for OR/cardiac-related cases per unit needs)
- OR circulating experience required; able to circulate heavy ortho/urology/spine and robotic procedures
- Ability to work in a hospital OR environment; flexible to float to other facilities and to participate in on-call coverage
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills; able to follow policies and maintain accurate documentation
