Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for oncology patients following established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Assess patient conditions, implement and evaluate plans of care, and document progress.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments; monitor for adverse reactions and respond appropriately.
- Coordinate care with other disciplines and communicate patient status to the multidisciplinary team.
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff across levels; provide guidance to ensure safe, high-quality care.
- Apply critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making in care planning and execution.
Requirements
- Active California RN license (or eligibility as applicable).
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Oncology experience or experience in an inpatient oncology setting preferred.
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts as part of a 3x12 schedule.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to coordinate with interdisciplinary teams and supervise nursing staff.
