Registered Nurse – ICU travel assignment in Olathe, Kansas, United States. Start date 07/05/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range $2,047 per week to $2,119 per week. Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to high-acuity adult and geriatric patients in an ICU/PCU hybrid unit (Neuro/Spine/Cardiac/Medical/Surgical mix); monitor and respond to rapid changes in condition.
- Manage ventilated patients and hemodynamic support; titrate vasoactive infusions; monitor telemetry and cardiac rhythms.
- Perform and assist with invasive procedures as appropriate; draw labs, manage lines (PICC, arterial/central access), and coordinate with laboratory services.
- Utilize specialized therapies and equipment such as balloon pump, CRRT, and Impella; participate in resuscitation efforts and, when needed, conduct codes.
- Float to PCU/CCU and other inpatient units (Med/Surg, Med/Tele, ED) as assigned; adapt to varying acuity and patient mix.
- Document nursing care in the electronic medical record; collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and high-quality care.
Requirements
- Active KS RN license or Compact RN license
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHF certifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU/CCU experience
- Experience with balloon pump, CRRT, Impella, and open-heart patient care; ability to draw labs; PICC line experience
- Ability to float to PCU/CCU and other inpatient units; comfortable calling on own consults and participating in codes
- Night shift experience and ability to work 3x12 nocturnal rotations
