Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate patient care to Med/Surg patients, including telemetry monitoring
- Administer medications, perform IV therapies, and manage patient assessments
- Document clinical observations and interventions in the Meditech electronic medical record
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement the plan of care
- Support discharge planning and patient/family education while ensuring safety and infection control standards
- May float to similar units as needed and participate in unit orientation and testing on site
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (ARC or AHA)
- Minimum 3 years of Medical-Surgical and Telemetry experience
- Meditech experience required
- Telemetry experience preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts (7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.) and float to similar units as needed
- Must be able to work either Christmas Eve or Christmas Day based on unit need
