Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
Registered Nurse – Med Surg Telemetry, travel assignment available in Rochester, NY, starting 05/11/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,067–$2,209 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Shift: 12-hour rotating days/evenings/nights (D/E/N) with Every Other Weekend (EOW) and Holidays/On-Call/Callback as needed. This role is in an inpatient medical-surgical telemetry unit and may include expanded responsibilities such as charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member duties under the direction of the Nurse Manager.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to a Med Surg Telemetry patient population in accordance with established standards
- Monitor telemetry rhythms, interpret data, and respond to arrhythmias according to protocol
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies; manage tubing, drains, and wound care as indicated
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments; document findings and care plans accurately in the electronic health record
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, including physicians, case management, and ancillary staff; communicate changes in patient status promptly
- May assume expanded roles as needed, including charge nurse duties, precepting new staff, and participating in unit committees per unit needs
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in New York (NY)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Telemetry experience required
- Minimum two years of RN experience
- Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts (D/E/N) with on-call, holidays, and weekends as required
- Eligible to practice in New York and able to participate in a travel assignment
