Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour nights (6:30 PM–7:00 AM)

Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated ICU nursing care for an assigned patient population using the nursing process
- Monitor patient status, assess and respond to changes, administer medications, and manage critical care equipment
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other members of the care team to achieve optimal outcomes
- Prepare and implement care plans, conduct discharge planning, and provide education to patients and families
- Document care in the electronic health record; ensure accurate handoffs during shift changes
- Supervise and coordinate activities of licensed and unlicensed nursing staff as needed
- Maintain a safe, healing environment and adhere to infection control practices
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California) or eligibility to practice in CA
- Minimum two years of recent ICU/acute care nursing experience
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from an approved vendor
- ACLS or ARC-ALS certification required
- BSN preferred
- Night shift work and assignment in a short-term acute care setting
- Special note: Backfill for EPIC requires demonstrated experience with EPIC and Cerner
