Travel Registered Nurse LTC Job
Registered Nurse – Long-Term Care (LTC) travel assignment in Lewiston, Maine. Start date 09/14/2026 for a 13-week contract on a 3x12 night shift (7:00 pm–7:30 am). Weekly pay range: $1,906–$2,005 per week. There are no guaranteed hours. This position is in a hospital setting with LTC-oriented care across dementia, transitional rehab, and long-term care environments. The role requires direct and indirect nursing care in a unit-based, home-like atmosphere.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect nursing care to residents in dementia care, short-term rehab, and long-term care settings.
- Administer medications and treatments per care plans; perform IV therapy and wound care as needed; participate in geriatric assessment and management.
- Monitor resident status, document findings, and communicate changes to the care team to support timely care decisions.
- Apply person-centered approaches using verbal and non-verbal communication to support residents with Alzheimer’s/dementia and related behaviors.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to coordinate care, uphold safety, and maintain a therapeutic environment; assist with care planning and discharge planning when applicable.
- Demonstrate flexibility to float to other units as needed and adhere to policy, clinical standards, and patient safety guidelines.
Requirements
- Active RN license in the State of Maine or a compact RN license.
- Education: Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Experience: 1–3 years of RN experience preferred.
- Skills: Medical terminology knowledge; strong teamwork and communication; ability to work well within a diverse care team; flexibility to cover 24/7 needs and to float as required.
- Residency: Candidate must reside outside of a 50-mile radius of the work location.
- Workplace: Ability to work in a hospital-based LTC environment and adapt to unit-specific routines.
